Terms of use

Terms covering the use of this website only: what it offers, who owns its content, and where the limits of what it gives you lie.

Last updated: 2026-08-09

What these terms cover

This page governs your use of this website only.

It does not cover booking, payment, cancellation, refunds, or transferring a seat to another batch or another person. Those are commercial terms agreed at the point of booking, and you will not find them here.

The standing of these terms

This page sets out how we expect the site to be used, what of its content is ours, and the limits of what it gives you. What binds you contractually when you book is agreed explicitly at the point of booking, not here.

How these terms are accepted — and whether merely using the site or submitting a form on it counts as acceptance: [owner to confirm]

What this site provides

The site is an information front and a set of supporting tools, not a learning platform:

  • Information about the practical HPLC training, and batch dates and prices.
  • A free self-assessment that gives you an indicative score and band.
  • Technical articles.
  • A page for checking a competency record by its number.
  • Forms for getting in touch, requesting a booking, and requesting support.

Intellectual property

The site's content — the text, the articles, the assessment questions, the page design, the trading name, the logo and the training material — belongs to Shortcut for Training and Consultation unless it is explicitly attributed to someone else.

You may read it, share links to it, and quote it in reasonable measure with attribution and a link back to the page.

You may not republish it, translate it, or turn it into training material under your own name or your organization's, nor sell it or bundle it into a paid service, without our prior written permission.

What you send us through the forms stays yours. We use it only to answer you and to do what you asked, as set out in the privacy policy.

What we ask you not to do

  • Send automated or high-volume traffic at the site or its forms, attempt to disrupt it, or work around the request-rate limits.
  • Scrape the site's content in order to republish it or to train a product on it.
  • Submit another person's personal data without their knowledge and consent.
  • Enter false information into the booking forms or the verification page.
  • Impersonate the business or one of its trainers, or imply an official association that does not exist.

The verification page

The verification page confirms that a competency record with that number was issued by us, and shows what it contains. It does no more than that: the record describes what its holder demonstrated during the training at the time, not how they perform in their lab today, and it is not an accreditation by any regulatory body.

Verification requires the record number, so the page cannot be used to browse other people's records.

Professional notice — read this before you apply anything

  • Everything this site provides and everything delivered in the training — explanations, suggested procedures, articles and assessment results — is educational guidance.
  • It does not replace your laboratory's approved and documented procedures, your validated analytical methods, your instrument manufacturer's documentation, or what the pharmacopoeias and your regulators require of you.
  • Any decision you take inside your lab — changing a method, accepting a result, rejecting a batch, or responding to an inspection observation — remains your responsibility and your organization's, not ours.
  • We do not provide regulatory or legal consultancy, and we do not guarantee that any inspection or accreditation will be passed as a result of the training.

Availability

We work to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not commit to an uptime figure and we do not guarantee it is free of errors. It may go down for maintenance or for reasons outside our control, and batch dates and details may change — what counts is what is confirmed to you in writing at the point of booking.

Our articles may link out to other sites for further reading. We do not control their content and are not responsible for it, and linking to them is not an endorsement of everything they contain.

Governing law

The business is run from the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the processing of your personal data is governed by Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.

We may amend these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page, and the last-updated date is shown above.
